Elizabeth or Liza for short was born in 1923 as the 3rd of 6 children and lived a life filled with adventure and enterprise. She was married at the tender age of 18 to James Kibera who was then 21 and together they had seven children. She loved her children and poured this out as they grew and several are well known nationally in the sphere of education and the creative arts. Together with her husband, they acquired 9 and ½ acres of land on which Liza Heights will stand. She loved the land she tilled and ensured she was right on time to cultivate and plant as seasons dictated. As a pastime, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and embroidery. Liza was a loyal church member and historical records of her faithful giving testify about her values and strong faith in God.
